Peter Schippits

Pete Schippits is President of Advisory Services for CBRE’s West Region. In this role, he is responsible for the strategic direction and performance of the company’s Advisory Services business lines, including leasing, sales, property management and valuations, in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. He also has executive oversight for CBRE’s Advisory Services business in Canada.

Previously, he served as President of CBRE’s Mountain-Northwest Division, overseeing the firm’s Advisory Services business throughout Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. During his tenure, Pete has expanded the breadth and depth of CBRE’s service offerings across the Mountain-Northwest region. He spearheaded the opening of new offices in downtown Boulder and Boise. He has also recruited experts in more than a dozen specialties—including property tax, manufactured housing, eminent domain and small balance lending—all with the goal of better meeting the needs of CBRE clients.

Based in Denver, Pete joined CBRE as Colorado’s Market Leader, responsible for overseeing all business lines across five Front Range offices. In total, Pete nearly doubled the firm’s local talent base, surpassing 1,000 Colorado-based employees in 2018.

Prior to joining CBRE, Pete was a Managing Director of Investor Services at JLL where he focused on growing the firm’s Agency Leasing, Property Management, Industrial and Capital Markets businesses. Recognized as one of the state’s most successful office leasing experts, he leased assets comprising more than 11 million square feet for over 20 different institutional owners, including some of Denver’s most iconic office towers.

Before JLL, Pete was a practicing attorney in real estate, business and tax planning for Gelt & Grassgreen P.C., a boutique tax law firm in Denver.
