Professional Experience


José Antonio Lobón is an Executive Vice President and partner with CBRE’s Miami-based South Florida Capital Markets Institutional Group, a fully-integrated Investment Sales and Debt & Structured Finance team specialized on Institutional clients with a primary focus on office, industrial and land development transactions. Since joining the team in 2011, Mr. Lobón has been involved in the valuation, marketing and execution of $11 billion in real estate sale and finance transactions, ranging from one-off dispositions to multi-market portfolios.  In 2018 alone, José and his team were responsible for $3.2 billion in transactions.

Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Lobón worked as a Senior Analyst for The Situs Companies in the Realty Services department, where he was responsible for the quantitative and qualitative analysis and due diligence for top-tier investment bank’s commercial real estate loan originations. His previous experience also includes work in multifamily development with Wood Partners, North & South American corporate operations with Sotheby’s, and consulting work with AT Franco & Associates, a boutique architecture and land planning firm.

Education


Mr. Lobón graduated as a College Scholar from Middlebury College in May of 2003, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in History of Art & Architecture and Spanish, both of which he received Departmental Honors from. He also attended Universidad Carlos III in Madrid, Spain for the years 2000-2001. In May 2010, he also acquired his Masters in Business Administration, with a concentration in Real Estate & Finance, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School. Mr. Lobón has lived in Europe, South America & the United States and is fully bilingual (English & Spanish) and has a basic working knowledge of French and Portuguese.
