Bentley Smith is a Senior Vice President with CBRE’s Institutional Properties team. Located in Minneapolis, MN, he has more than 10 years of industrial sales and leasing experience within the commercial real estate profession. Bentley specializes in representing institutional, private, and corporate clients in the acquisition, disposition and sourcing the equity capital stack in industrial real estate transactions. Bentley began his career with CBRE in 2018 and has been involved in more than 182 transactions, valued at over $6.7 billion and totaling over 64 MSF.

Bentley is a member of CBRE National Partners, a collaborative national partnership formed in 2010 that focuses exclusively on industrial and logistics capital markets. Located in twelve key markets, the 95 investment sales and support professionals connect local market expertise to a national capital markets perspective. Enhanced by a fully integrated debt platform, National Partners provides strategic advisory guidance to maximize proceeds and enhance the surety of execution for national, regional and local clients. Prior to joining the Institutional Properties team at CBRE, Bentley was an analyst for HFF in Austin, Texas where he underwrote and helped facilitate the sale of over $1.3 billion worth of investment properties in the Austin and San Antonio markets. Prior to his work at HFF, Bentley was a Senior Associate for Colliers International in Austin, Texas focused on industrial and logistics leasing in Austin, Texas.
