The Sacramento retail market is showing signs of improving activity as it heads into the second half of 2021. Early in the quarter, Gavin Newsom announced that as of June 15, 2021, restrictions brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, would be removed and businesses allowed to operate at full capacity. The region continues its efforts to rapidly distribute the vaccine and reported that 57% of adults are at least partially vaccinated. Fully vaccinated individuals are no longer required to wear masks and the complete return to normalcy appears to be on the horizon.
