The volume of investments in real estate in Russia by the end of 2020 showed an increase and reached RUB 285 billion, largely due to a strong Q1 and Q4. This is 14% higher than the previous year (RUB 251 billion).
One clear trend in 2020 was an increase in investments in assets requiring development and capital investments. The share of investments in this type of real estate increased from 33% in 2019 to 56% in 2020. More than half of the volume was formed by investments in land plots with potential for residential real estate construction.
The largest increase in the volume of investments in 2020 was in the residential real estate segment.
Warehouse real estate saw the most activity among the commercial real estate segments in 2020.
