-Oklahoma City retail fundamentals have been trending downward since the spread of COVID-19 forced lockdowns in Mid-March.

-Occupancy dropped 30 basis points from the start of the year as absorption headed into negative territory at mid-year.

-As more national chains continue to announce store closures in the second half of the year, it is likely that we will continue to see a pattern of decrease occupancy and negative absorption in H2.

-COVID-19 is ramping up in states that were quick to reopen. Although a significant uptick in cases that pummels consumer confidence is a risk, it is quite plausible that a mild escalation of COVID-19 can coincide with pent-up consumer demand that restrains economic losses this year to a fall in GDP of just over 6%.
