Employment growth in Northern Colorado (Fort Collins/Loveland MSA and Greeley MSA) continued its resurgence in 2019. All-industry job growth was 2.6%, adding 7,300 jobs on an average year-to-date basis through June 2019.
The Northern Colorado unemployment rate (not seasonally adjusted) was 2.8% on average through June 2019, below Colorado’s year-to-date average unemployment rate of 3.2%.
Greeley ranks as the 7th fastest growing MSA in the country and was recently named one of the nation's ‘Most Dynamic Metros’ by the Walton Family Foundation, ranking #8 on the 2019 Index.
Fort Collins received top rankings by Forbes for ‘Best Place in Colorado to Retire’ and ‘Best Places for Business and Careers’.
