The Greater Hartford office market ended the third quarter of 2020 – the second full quarter to be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic – with a negative absorption of just over 107,000 sq. ft. Increasing availability in Bloomfield, Windsor, Glastonbury, and Farmington accounted for most of this quarter’s net loss. Vacancy increased 10 basis points (bps) to 20.0% while availability
increased by 50 bps to 23.3%. Average asking rents in the Greater Hartford office market increased slightly to $19.44 per sq. ft.
