Professional Experience
Rod Hawker is a Project Manager on a GCS account supporting a Global High Technology Company. He is responsible for delivery of end of life and capital asset replacement projects throughout North and South America. Project activities include financial oversight and project coordination of multiple projects. Duties range from direct project management to full program management.
Rod also has duties as an Energy Program Manager to coordinate implementation of energy projects identified each year. He manages program financials, projects schedule and team of contractors providing project delivery.
Prior to joining CBRE, the majority of Rod's career was as a direct employee with the Global High Technology Company, and he supported Facilities Maintenance via a variety of different roles, beginning as an Industrial Equipment Mechanic/Plumber trainee and eventually a Journeyman in that role. Responsibilities included site mechanical equipment and systems such as air compressors, vacuum pumps, cooling towers, liquid nitrogen system, fire system, diesel generators, fire pumps, waste treatment systems, elevators, boilers and associated piping systems. Rod also held a position as a Landscape Program Manager, supporting 212 acres of buildings, planter beds, several hundred trees, sports fields and agricultural ground. Just before joining CBRE, Rod's final role as a Project Manager included the support of similar activities described above, including a $23M reinvestment and $2M energy program in 2013.
