Professional Experience
Mr. McEwan has been in the commercial real estate industry in Orlando since 1974 as a lender, developer, broker and appraiser. In 1989, Mr. McEwan joined CBRE as a land and hotel development specialist. Since that time, he has been involved in over $1 Billion of land sales, equity and debt transactions.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. McEwan spent 12 years in the commercial mortgage lending field and two years as a real estate developer and appraiser. As Senior Vice President/ Mortgage Lending for Firstate Financial Group, Mr. McEwan oversaw all mortgage lending operations in Central Florida. As President of Cypress Mortgage Corporation, Mr. McEwan was directly responsible for commercial mortgage lending and operations throughout the State of Florida. Mr. McEwan is responsible for over 60% of all land sales in the Orlando Tourist market and has dominated that market over the last 10 years.
