Richard J. Ratner is a Senior Vice President in CBRE’s West Los Angeles office specializing in providing real estate advisory services, corporate transactional and management services to clients on a local, regional and national basis. Mr. Ratner specializes in advising and representing law, finance, real estate and technology companies, both public and private. Some of those clients include Banc of California (1 million square feet), Bain & Company, Bel-Air Investment Advisors, Emerson College, Fidelity Investments, Fortress Investment Group, Hudson Pacific Properties, Media Rights Capital, and Artisan Realty Advisors. He represents tenants in lease negotiations, renewals and relocations, building acquisitions and dispositions, sale/leasebacks and build-to-suits.
Prior to joining CBRE in July of 2010, Mr. Ratner held executive roles at Cushman & Wakefield in their West Los Angeles office. Prior to that, Mr. Ratner spent 10 years in Midtown Manhattan providing advisory and consultative real estate services. In years 2013, 2014, and 2015 Mr. Ratner has been involved in negotiations involving over $500,000,000 in transactions on behalf of his clients.
Since 2015, Mr. Ratner has been a member of CBRE’s exclusive Tech and Media Practice group representing several regional and national technology companies.
He is involved in various civic and charitable organizations including the Milken Institute Young Leaders Circle, Southern California board member of The American Technion Society and the 2010 Co-Chair of the Jewish Federation’s Young Hillcrest Division.
Mr. Ratner also sits on the board for Determined to Succeed which provides enrichment resources to low-income middle school students.
Mr. Ratner received his Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern University in Boston in 1993.
Mr. Ratner resides in Pacific Palisades with his wife Tammy and their three children.
