As Strategic Planning Manager for CBRE EMEA region, Paul represents Amex planning interests in project briefing, design & implementation across 1.1 million sq footage including:
- Collecting & reporting data to develop solutions, including utilization studies, workplace assessments & space statiscs.
- Ensuring that all workplace issues are addressed by the implementation team, acting as subject matter expert or client representative, leading the Project’s Programme Office & taking the client’s brief, where appropriate to ensure that the client’s expectations are met.
- Supporting or delivering change management & communication efforts in workplace projects.
- Working with EMEA Finance team & Business units to forecast space utilization & deliver service fees to the client.
Professional Experience
Prior to the merger with CBRE, Paul served at Strategic Planning Manager for Trammell Crow, joining in September 2006. Prior to this, Paul was Project Manager at AYH plc, serving as client representative on the prestigious new Amex Headquarters Project in Central London. A graduate, Paul offers a unique mix of project, change management & communication skills & has successfully worked on a range of workplace strategy projects for corporate clients, including IBM & PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Paul also has business development experience, gained by setting up a relocation consultancy for a larger plc. In a ‘hand-on role’, Paul managed the day to day operations, including business plan, marketing & sales.

Assignments
- Amex Belgrave House: new headquarters fit-out of 131,000 sq ft & relocation of 900 staff. Introduction of alternative ways of working & new EMEA design standard.
- Amex Sussex Campus: Development of regional strategy to enable the $64 million refurbishment of Amex House. Chair of both the Programme Office & Amex Business Unit Core Team.
- IBM Bedfont Lakes: consolidation of 2000 employees from five to two buildings.
- IBM Southbank: Refurbishment of London HQ, relocation of 2500 staff & implementation of e-place workplace strategy.
