Mike Smith is an Associate with CBRE’s Land Services Group. The Land Services Group has long been the market leader in vacant land transactions throughout the Chicagoland area. The team has participated in over 1,000 transactions involving more than 40,000 acres with total sales in excess of $2 billion.
Mike’s responsibilities include creating new opportunities and developing relationships while maintaining contact with an expansive network of landowners, developers, investors and municipalities in order to stay on top of the continually changing real estate industry. Using an analytical approach, Mike is able to identify and market prime sites for development and redevelopment, focusing on highly desirable markets in the Chicagoland area, providing clients with great business opportunities.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mike worked in Land Acquisition for Pulte Homes, a National Home Builder, where he focused primarily on land acquisition, land development, market analysis, feasibility pro-forma, contract negotiation, due-diligence and entitlements for prospective residential communities.
