Michael Remer is an Senior Associate with CBRE's New York Tri-State Retail Services Group. He works with Vice-Chairman Richard Hodos, representing retail tenants and landlords along Manhattan's premier shopping corridors.
Some of Michael’s recent retail transactions include the disposition of Michael Kors’ SoHo flagship at 520 Broadway to Lululemon, and the leasing of 902 Broadway to WeWork. Michael also currently represents JEMB Realty in the leasing of 102,912 square feet of retail space at Herald Towers at 34th St. & Broadway.
Prior to joining CBRE, Michael leased commercial space for three years at The Corcoran Group, where he represented a broad spectrum of retailers, fashion showrooms, and restaurants, as well as medical and office tenants. Notably, he represented global P.R. giant Ruder Finn in the acquisition of a 34,000 square-foot midtown building for the firm's corporate headquarters. Michael's leasing services were also retained by Corcoran's parent company, NRT, for the relocation the brokerage's Manhattan storefront branches.
Before entering real estate in 2013, he had began his career at U.S. Trust, Bank of America, advising high-net-worth clients in the areas of credit, banking, and investment management. Michael's analytical thinking, client-relations expertise, and technological savvy, honed over six years in private wealth management, serve him extremely well in commercial real estate, where he approaches every transaction with the same diligence, focus, and goal of exceeding his clients' objectives.
