Matthew Miller is an Equity Portfolio Director for the Facility Assessment and Consultative Solutions (FACS) in the Valuation & Advisory Services division of CBRE. He works closely and directs CBRE’s Project Managers during the assessment and evaluation of properties, directly interfacing with clients. Mr. Miller has over 30 years of professional architectural and planning experience in building design and documentation, construction management, site and building analysis, and construction administration. With a comprehensive knowledge of construction materials and methods, Mr. Miller has provided architectural and land planning design services for a wide array of projects ranging from residential structures to commercial and industrial facilities. He was instrumental in developing space utilization models, facility management coordination, administration of outside consultants, site selection and representation before governing bodies.
Mr. Miller has performed extensive forensic investigations and inspections for building damage causation analysis and building defects analysis on a national basis. He has provided technical expertise and worked closely with insurance carriers and attorneys regarding conflict resolution, as well as providing expert witness testimony regarding NJMLUL, NJDEP-CAFRA, International Building Codes and Regulations, building defect analysis, and redevelopment studies as well as being knowledgeable regarding ADA accessibility codes and zoning regulations. Mr. Miller has performed building analysis on varied types of real estate property including office buildings, medical office buildings, apartment buildings, hotels and motels, warehouse and industrial buildings, parking garages, retail strip centers and stand-alone stores, enclosed shopping malls, marinas, self-storage facilities, institutional facilities and government facilities.
