Professional Experience

John Scott is the Managing Director within CBRE’s Global Corporate Services division responsible for global real estate strategy and transactions at a Fortune 20 technology company.  John has 30 years’ experience in delivering business

objectives through effective occupancy and operational strategies in Real Estate. He has considerable experience managing global operations across various industry segments and all real estate functions.  John first joined CBRE in 1996, dividing his time between CBRE’s London and San Francisco offices.

During his 18 years with CBRE, John has led and contributed to a wide variety of service lines and client accounts. These include: leading the EMEA consulting and portfolio management teams, leading new account transitions, leadership of the Google, Nokia and Deutsche Bank accounts, and Operations leader for the Bank of America Account.

Over John’s career, he has contributed to businesses serving the financial, retail, logistics, technology and telecommunications markets, bringing solutions and innovation across all real estate service lines and support functions.

Prior to joining CBRE, John worked as a Client Services Director at Johnson Controls in San Francisco. There he held responsibility for the operational successes and profitability of accounts with Sun Microsystems, Microsoft and Charles Schwab; supervising 500 employees and 36million square feet of customer real estate. Amongst his many achievements in this role, he contributed to a 50% increase in revenue through managed growth and organic sales. In his role, John also was a Six-Sigma Green Belt.

John also held the role of Director of Property Management from May 1996 until July 2000 with CBRE in San Francisco. Throughout this time, John had responsibility for managing the operations and technical services for Bank of America covering 16million square feet including 5.5million square feet of data centres. As well as his direct management responsibility, John participated in senior level marketing proposals and presentations.

John has also worked for Dayton Hudson Corporation in California from July 1993 until May 1996. As Regional Facility Manager, he was responsible for evaluating, budgeting, planning and managing the complete maintenance and all capital projects in 80 premier department stores comprising over 8million square feet.

John began his career with Pacific Bell in San Francisco in July 1984 as a regional asset manager responsible for all real estate services across 7million square feet in California.‚Äč
