Professional Experience
Joel Torborg joined the Minneapolis CBRE Capital Markets office in 2007 after ten years as an industrial sales and leasing broker with Northmarq and Transwestern. Joel specializes in structuring and negotiating real estate financings for private and institutional real estate investors. During his career he has structured and financed over $1.25 Billion for his clients in 15 states, including over $250 Million YTD 2016.
Joel has an ability to meet client’s needs by tailoring financial solutions that are unique to their property and specific business plan. Utilizing extensive life insurance company, bank, CMBS and on-book bridge lending relationships, as well as CBRE’s direct lending relationships with Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, Joel is able to customize capital to maximize return on investments for his clients.
Joel is one of three producers on the Minneapolis Debt & Structured Finance (DSF) team, joining Doug Seylar and Murray Kornberg. Collectively, the team of Torborg, Seylar and Kornberg have over 60 years of real estate financing experience.
