An 18-year Real Estate Executive with a diverse retail real estate background and a concerted focus on Lifestyle, Hospitality and Food & Beverage Real Estate. Jessica Curtis is the Leader of CBRE’s U.S. Restaurant Specialty Practice specializing in Emerging Brands.

Ms. Curtis has a finger on the pulse of trends in retail, dining and hospitality and spends much of her time traveling throughout the United States maintaining her knowledge base, building relationships and searching for the next great concept.

In addition to significant landlord consulting assignments throughout her career for organizations like Rockefeller Group, RXR, Blackstone, SL Green and like, Ms. Curtis has been integral in the strategic expansion of a number of restaurant companies. She has led the real estate initiative for Barteca Restaurants for over a decade, securing upwards of 50 locations for their two brands, Barcelona Wine Bar and Bartaco. Barteca was sold to DFRG, Inc. in 2018 for $325M and subsequently to L Catterton in 2019. Ms. Curtis continues to lead their real estate efforts.

Ms. Curtis has spent the last decade of her career navigating the national real estate landscape on behalf of up-and-coming restaurant brands with a decided and deliberate focus on hip, cool emerging neighborhoods. Her passion lies in the strategic growth and nurturing of emerging restaurant brands that have their sights set on an expanded regional or national presence. She has completed transactions on behalf of such notable restaurant groups as Del Frisco’s Grille, Shake Shack, Postino, Mexicue, B&B Hospitality, Caffe Nero, Hawkers, Little Beet, Melt Shop, Fields Good Chicken and The Meatball Shop.

Ms. Curtis began her career with visionary Sheldon Gordon, the creator of The Forum Shops in Las Vegas and quickly became fluent in shopping center development with a specialization in entertainment destinations and casino-based environments. Following her time at Gordon Group, Ms. Curtis was recruited by Retail Portfolio Solutions, a luxury retail real estate consulting firm based in Newport Beach, CA. Select RPS clients during her tenure included St. John, Escada, Burberry, Scoop, Santa Maria Novella, Judith Ripka and Vilebrequin. Landlord clients included Kemper Development, The Nasher Family and The Irvine Company.

Given her diverse background, Ms. Curtis brings a special appreciation for both sides of the table in any negotiation and prides herself on creating strong relationships between both tenant and landlord.

Prior to joining CBRE, Ms. Curtis was a Senior Managing Director for Newmark Knight Frank.
