Jacob Hayutin is a Retail Capital Markets and Investment Sales Expert covering Southern California. Over the first five years of his career, Jacob has been successful in closing transactions valued in excess of $300 Million in total consideration. His specialty includes grocery anchored shopping centers, infill redevelopment sites, and single tenant net-leased assets.
Prior to joining CBRE, Jacob oversaw acquisitions throughout the Western U.S. for the Sterling Organization, an institutional fund manager that owns and operates 11 Million square feet, including $2 Billion worth of retail throughout the U.S. During his time there, he spearheaded the acquisition of 8 different investments that range across the risk spectrum from Core to Opportunistic, in various markets including; Beverly Hills, West Hollywood and Westlake Village.
Before Sterling, Jacob began his real estate career at Marcus and Millichap, where he was consistently a top producer within his experience tranche from 2015-2018. He specialized in commercial investment sales throughout Southern California, learning the nuances of the submarkets and collaborating with some of the most active investors, lenders and tenants in the marketplace.
Jacob joined Alex Kozakov and Pat Wade’s middle-market focused team in 2019 with the goal of significantly increasing the team’s transaction volume, as the structural changes in the retail markets are amplified. Jacob was first introduced to Alex and Pat, during his acquisition role at Sterling Organization. It quickly became evident to him that their unique ability to collaborate and thus preform for their clients was truly exceptional.
Jacob graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Binghamton University, in upstate New York. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). In his spare time, he can be found exploring the various neighborhoods in L.A. while enjoying the perfect weather.
