Heidi Romppanen joined CBRE in May 2005 as Landscape Manager. As Landscape Manager for CBRE, Heidi oversaw the landscape needs for 30 properties in northern California. Most of these properties are Class-A office buildings or complexes as well as retail shopping centers. Heidi ensured accountability among the various landscape vendors, conducted monthly quality control inspections, negotiated bidding and landscape contracts, and prepared budgets and forecasting for landscape services.
Before joining CBRE she worked as an account manager for Gachina Landscape Management (a San Francisco area company) and her prior experience includes owning a native plant nursery that provided designing and consulting services to clients. She also worked on the development of Hassayampa Golf Club in Prescott, Arizona as the horticulturist, where she maintained and designed native course and clubhouse landscaping.
Some of her previous clients include The McGough Group, an architect in Phoenix, Arizona, where she worked on the identification of native plants. She has also worked with Home Owners association (HOA) specifications for a 3,600-acre community and Portola Valley Ranch (a pioneer in establishing a community with exclusively native plants and a wildlife preserve, established. in the 1970s) in Portola, Califonia. Heidi also worked at Stanford West Faculty Staff housing (included a large mitigation area that is native), Sunset Publishing west coast headquarters, and provided consulting for a new clubhouse landscape design for Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club in Palo Alto, California.
