Professional Experience


George Lacey is a First Vice President with CBRE’s Honolulu office.  George had more than 12 years of experience in real estate prior to joining CBRE in 1997.  During his 23-year career at CBRE, his focus has been on sales and leasing of both commercial and investment properties. George represents both landlords and tenants with an emphasis on landlord representation.

As a result of George’s successful representation of his clients, his clients have earned more $350 million in leasing revenue.  He has closed a high volume of transactions with an annual average of 70 commercial lease transactions during the years prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

His clients range from owners of small, family owned properties to owners of institutional portfolios such as The RMR Group and Kamehameha Schools.  

George has had a long-term relationship with The RMR Group (formerly HRPT) dating back to 2006.  The RMR Group has trusted him with handling of the leasing of its Sand Island Access Road/Kalihi Kai properties.  From 2004 until 2020, he represented Kamehameha Schools for their industrial and retail properties in both Kalihi and Kakaako.  The RMR Group and Kamehameha Schools alone represent more than 1,200,000 square feet of industrial and retail property in the Kalihi and Kakaako areas.

George’s broad range of experience also included retail leasing.  He has represented, among others, Pioneer Ace Hardware, Don Quijote (USA) Co., Ltd., Kamehameha Schools and The RMR Group.  Pioneer Ace Hardware retained George as their exclusive representative for the leasing of their retail development in Kapolei.  Don Quijote (USA) Co., Ltd., formerly known as The Daiei (USA), Inc. retained George for a realignment of their retail tenants within their Hawaii stores.
