Professional Experience
As Regional Director for one of CBRE’s top accounts, Ed has overall responsibility for the delivery of asset services for more than eight million sq. ft. of commercial properties across Texas, Colorado and New Mexico. Services include Property Management, Engineering and Project Management for a mixed portfolio of office, retail, and specialty assets.
A seasoned professional, Ed’s career in real estate extends back 30 years when he joined Northrop Grumman Corporation as an engineer. Since that time, Ed has moved steadily upward through positions of increased responsibility.
After 14 years of engineering and facilities management work in New York, he moved to Houston to serve as Director of Engineering for Equity Office Properties. He spent nine years with the company, the last few as Managing Director of Property Management, responsible for 18 million sq. ft. of commercial office property. He was hired into the role, in part, to stabilize a region that had more than 50% turnover in the previous 18 months. Ed put his considerable leadership skills to work, and cultivated a high performance team that exceeded its leasing and income targets for the remainder of his tenure.
In 2007 Ed was recruited by the CEO of The Lightstone Group to join the management team as the company prepared to expand its commercial office holdings. As Vice President of Property Management, Ed was responsible for all operations for the company’s commercial and industrial portfolio. His duties included tenant relations, construction management, engineering and maintenance, procurement of services, and vendor management. That portfolio included properties throughout the Northeast, as well as properties in Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana and Texas.
