Professional Experience
David Rogers is Partner and Executive Chair of CBRE Caledon. Prior to becoming Executive Chair in 2020, Mr. Rogers was CEO of CBRE Caledon, which he founded in 2006. In that role he was responsible for guiding the firm’s private markets investment strategies. CBRE Caledon is a Private Markets investment specialist headquartered in Toronto, Canada, which provides infrastructure and private equity investment solutions to institutional investors.
Prior to CBRE Caledon, Mr. Rogers was a Senior Vice-President at the OMERS Pension Plan from 2001 to 2006, where he was responsible for building and managing a globally diversified portfolio of private equity funds and co-investments. He was also a Director on the Parent company of the OMERS infrastructure group, Borealis Infrastructure. Mr. Rogers was a founding board member of the Institutional Limited Partner Association (“ILPA”) in 2002 and sat on its Board until 2005.
Prior to OMERS, Mr. Rogers was Vice-President, Investments with Working Ventures Canadian Fund Inc., a Canadian based venture capital fund. Prior to that, he was the VP, Finance and CFO of FirstService Corporation from start up in 1990 to 1995 when it became a TSX and NASDAQ-listed company.
Mr. Rogers is a regular speaker at various North American and European private market conferences in the areas of infrastructure and private equity investing.
Education
Mr. Rogers earned his Honors Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto. He is also a CPA and CBV (Chartered Business Valuator).
