Associated Office
Daniel Kaplan is a Senior Vice President with CBRE’s Investment Properties group in the firm’s Midtown Manhattan office. With more than 15 years of experience, Mr. Kaplan focused on middle-market investment properties including retail, office, residential, industrial and development projects. He has completed more than $2 billion in sales, financing, joint venture, leasehold and development transactions in Manhattan & New York’s outer boroughs. He focuses on the exclusive representation of property owners in property dispositions, and of selected buyers in property acquisitions. He has extensive knowledge in complex ownership structures such as leasehold and ground lease positions, tenant in common or partial interest ownership, asset valuation, mortgage finance, joint ventures, market analysis, and other financial and business decision making. His client list includes private and institutional investors, family trusts and estates, Fortune 500 companies, religious organizations, government entities and non-profit organizations.
Before joining his current team, Mr. Kaplan was a member of CBRE’s highly competitive 14-month rotational Wheel Program. While in the program, Mr. Kaplan contributed to some of New York City’s most significant transactions including the General Motors Building, which achieved a record-high price among commercial property sales. Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Kaplan interned with Cushman & Wakefield assisting a tenant representation team in the Midtown office; as well as Summit Commercial Real Estate in Washington D.C.
