Greenville, S.C. – January 6, 2020 – Steve Smith, Managing Director of CBRE in South Carolina, has been nominated to the Board of Directors for the Greenville Tech Foundation.
Established in 1973, the Greenville Tech Foundation Inc. is a non-profit corporation that ensures Greenville Technical College can provide quality education at modest costs. Greenville Technical College is a five-campus system where nearly 25,000 students are annually preparing for the strongest careers of today and tomorrow.
“I am excited to join the Greenville Tech Foundation Board of Directors, an important organization that works to reduce the financial barriers to higher education,” said Mr. Smith. “Greenville Tech plays such a vital role in our community by providing high quality and affordable education, as well as work force training for new and existing industry needs.”
As Managing Director of CBRE in South Carolina, Mr. Smith has executive oversight over all operations in Charleston, Columbia and Greenville-Spartanburg. The South Carolina native and College of Charleston graduate has more than 35 years of experience in commercial real estate. He’s dedicated to serving the community and currently sits on the board of the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and is on the Executive Leadership team for the March of Dimes Real Estate Committee.
