Mr. Knust is an Executive Vice President in CBRE Debt & Structured Finance’s Austin office where his primary responsibilities include the origination, structuring, and closing of debt and equity real estate transactions. During his mortgage banking career, he has arranged assorted financing structures including conventional debt financing, equity joint ventures, participating debt ventures, highly structured bridge and mezzanine loan facilities, and conventional construction loans. He has been with CBRE | Debt & Structured Finance since the start of 2005, where he has worked as a producer on an origination team that has closed over 800 transactions totaling over $17 Billion in volume.
Mr. Knust graduated with a Bachelor in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin prior to beginning his career with the Archon Group in Dallas, the real estate investment arm of Goldman Sachs and the Whitehall Funds. While at Archon, Mr. Knust worked in both the Multi-Family Acquisitions Group and in the Commercial Asset Management Group. Following his three years with the Archon Group, Mr. Knust went on to earn his Masters in Business Administration at the University of Texas at Austin, and upon graduation, worked for Holliday Fenoglio Fowler in the Houston office.
