Experience

 

Brendan Cavender is a Senior Vice President* at CBRE. Over the course of nine years, he has led more than 850 deals and has completed complex transactions in more than 40 countries globally. To date, he has represented numerous Fortune 500 companies, dozens of publicly traded companies, and exclusively represents a multibillion-dollar firm on a global basis.

Prior to joining CBRE, Brendan was a Senior Managing Director at Colliers International in New York. During his tenure there, Brendan was involved with and led some of the firm’s largest and most prominent transactions, including Sidley Austin New York (352,000 SF), BMO Capital Markets New York (215,000 SF), FactSet Global Headquarters (177,000 SF), Confidential Philadelphia Global HQ (123,000 SF), Alliant NY Headquarters (100,000 SF), Campari NA Headquarters (65,000 SF), and Truven Global Headquarters (134,000 SF).

Brendan began his career at Colliers Ann Arbor where he was an integral part in growing the business into one of the leading brokerage firms in Washtenaw County. He launched numerous high-profile and record-breaking projects particularly for tenants in the tech sector including Barracuda Networks, HookLogic, Pillar Technology, Duo Security, Prime Research of North America, ArborMetrix, and Lakeside Software. 

Additional projects in which Brendan was involved while in Ann Arbor include: the Borders Flagship redevelopment (90,000 SF in downtown Ann Arbor), 100 Phoenix Drive sale and redevelopment (330,000 SF), The Landmark (220,000-SF multi-use with retail), HandiCraft redevelopment (48,000 SF), as well as the sale of over 20 historic downtown Ann Arbor buildings.

Brendan has received numerous industry awards including:  CBOR Leader of the Pack Award, MLive Deal of the Year Award, Colliers Mover and Shaker award, and multiple largest deal awards during his tenure with Colliers. He is a member of the United Way of New York City—currently serving as dinner chair for the GridIron Gala, and is involved with numerous other philanthropic organizations. Brendan is also an active owner and landlord, currently owning and redeveloping historic real estate assets throughout the Midwest.
