Mr. Barker is a Vice President at CBRE Affordable Housing, responsible for client service delivery and transaction execution. Based in Seattle, he helps clients navigate the intricate world of affordable housing, including LIHTC, Section 42, Section 8, and HAP contract restrictions.
Mr. Barker joined CBRE in 2011 and brings more than 15 years of real estate experience to his role. Previously, he worked for a local market rate apartment brokerage firm and as an Associate Advisor at Tax Credit Group, facilitating affordable real estate transactions around the country. During his tenure at CBRE, he has been involved in the sale of over 35,000 units, valued in excess of $2 billion.
Mr. Barker earned his Master’s in public policy at Pepperdine University and served as Director on the local non-profit organization, Mt. Baker Housing Association, for seven years.
