Everyone at CBRE is greatly relieved that Brian Sarver has been released from the hospital and is now home resting and recuperating. We wish him a speedy recovery and are doing everything we can to support him and his family.
Brian has asked CBRE to issue the following statement on his behalf. This is the extent of the public comments he will make at this time as he focuses on restoring his health.
"First and foremost, I would like to thank God for protecting me during the shooting. I am praying that God helps me, the other victims and everyone affected by this terrible incident to work through the healing process. In particular, I want to express my heartfelt condolences to Rick Newcomer’s family. I worked very closely with Rick during the past year and he was a terrific guy.
I want to thank my wife, Lisa, my family, friends and members of The River Church for their incredible love and support. I am also deeply indebted to the Cincinnati Police Department and the other emergency responders as well as the doctors and staff at University of Cincinnati Medical Center for their professionalism and the first-class care I received. I also am very grateful for everyone at CBRE, Fifth Third Bank and the Cincinnati community at large for their outpouring of support.
My immediate focus is getting well again. I look forward to getting back on my feet and returning to work as soon as practical. Thank you, again, to everyone who has treated me and my family with such kindness and affection over the past few days."
