Concentrix Grows Operations in 2000 Wade Hampton Boulevard Campus

Greenville – Feb. 4, 2016 –Concentrix, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SYNNEX Corporation, looks to the future and expands its call-center operations in Greenville, South Carolina, within Building III of the 2000 Wade Hampton Boulevard Office Park. Concentrix purchased IBM’s global customer care and industry process services business in 2014 and promptly out grew their leased space in Building I of the campus. 

“Our team pursued and vetted various large prospects at the 2000 Wade Hampton Boulevard Office Park,” says CBRE Senior Vice President Charles Gouch. “With the large block of contiguous space available, the flexibility of floor plans and the high-capacity data center within the lower level, Concentrix proved to be the best fit for Building III.”

“The need for data exchange, storage and security is expanding demand for data centers in the U.S., but one solution does not fit all,” said Gouch. “The 2000 Wade Hampton campus was ideal for Concentrix since they had already built a presence within the property. This presence proved crucial in Concentrix’s final decision due to their in-place infrastructure.”

“Equally important in the search process was Concentrix’s size requirement,” said CBRE Vice President Blaine Hart. “The fact that such a large block of space existed in the marketplace meant a cost and time savings when compared to building a new facility.” 

The savings in identifying markets with favorable conditions to data center users is considerable according to CBRE’s Data Center Solutions group​. Markets that meet client’s business requirements and provide lower net tax burdens after incentives, relatively affordable power rates, favorable weather conditions, and greenfield space to build in a less expensive manner can result in a potential savings up to 52.1 % of the $270.1 million average project cost for a typical 5-megawatt (MW) enterprise project in the U.S. over a 10-year period.  

“Greenville is on the rise as a call center market due to strong labor analytics and quality of life,” says CBRE Senior Associate Shelby Dodson. “It is significant to see a company with global success continue to grow its roots locally.”

Concentrix will begin moving into Building III upon completion of improvements, which are currently underway. They will occupy the five-floor, 143,833-sq.-ft. building in its entirety.

2000 Wade Hampton Boulevard Campus, reaches over 28 acres and is located two miles from downtown Greenville. It is ideal for tenants desiring large blocks of space and flexible layouts. Gouch, Hart and Dodson represented the landlord in the Concentrix lease transaction.
