Residing on the 40-acre Lone Peak Hospital Medical Campus, the centre has been designed as an 80,000-square-foot, class A medical office building. Located at 11925 South State Street, the centre will have corridors that connect to Lone Peak Hospital as well as an existing medical office building. Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2014.
“It is a major advantage to have medical offices that directly connect to a full-service hospital,” said Galanis, first vice president. “The new specialty centre will include a corridor that links to all buildings on campus, giving physicians the opportunity to deliver superior care in a brand-new facility.”
Lone Peak Hospital opened its doors on July 31, 2013. The new specialty centre will reside north-east of the hospital, adjacent to an existing medical building. Centrally located to serve both Salt Lake and Utah counties, the medical campus provides direct access to Interstate-15, as well as abundant amenities such as hotels, restaurants, banking and shopping. The centre has an expected completion date of the first quarter of 2015.
20,000 square feet of space in the new centre has already been preleased and designated as an ambulatory surgical center.
“There is 60,000 square feet of medical space remaining in the centre that can be built-out to specifically fit a physician’s needs,” stated Johnson, first vice president with CBRE. “The new building will facilitate collaborative and referral opportunities among those practicing on the medical campus, providing a smooth and convenient patient experience.”
The medical campus provides numerous benefits, some of which include: direct access to the new ambulatory surgical center; 24/7 emergency services; the latest medical technology and devices; diagnostic imaging; state-of-the-art maternity and birthing suites; and surgical operating rooms, endoscopy services, orthopedic care, and labs.
“This new medical office building is a product of the success we have had early on. There is great opportunity for growth here thanks to a reputation of quality, and facilities that provide the right tools for physicians and patients”, stated Mark Meadows, CEO of Lone Peak Hospital.
Lone Peak Hospital is the newest addition to the 40-acre Lone Peak Medical Campus. As the second component of the phased-in construction plan developed by MountainStar, it brings much-needed obstetric care, surgery services and outpatient diagnostic services to Draper and the surrounding south valley communities. The initial phase featured the first satellite ED in Utah, which opened its doors in May, 2010. The medical campus also offers a medical office building where primary care physicians and specialists deliver a wide range of healthcare and wellness services “To Improve the Lives We Touch”.
In addition to Lone Peak Hospital, the MountainStar Healthcare network in Utah includes St. Mark’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Timpanogos Regional Hospital in Orem, Mountain View Hospital in Payson, Ogden Regional Medical Center and Brigham City Community Hospital. The network also includes Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, West Valley Medical Center in Caldwell, Idaho, and Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, as well as a growing number of physician practices, outpatient imaging centers and ambulatory surgical centers.
