Since its inception, Year Up Atlanta, one of 13 Year Up sites in the U.S., has served more than 800 young adults in the metro area, and will serve 250 young adults in 2015. Launched in 2009, the program provides young adults, ages 18-24, with six months of technical and professional skills training followed by a six-month internship at one of more than 75 corporate partner firms, including Rollins, AT&T, Kaiser Permanente, and Bank of America. They were able to help us rework our space to accommodate our goals and create a business environment for the young adults we serve, through their intimate knowledge of the building activity and the market. Thanks to the CBRE team, we are positioned to continue to expand and help more young adults accomplish their professional goals,” said Belinda Stubblefield, Executive Director of Year Up Atlanta and National Site Director with Year Up, Inc.
“This renewal and expansion will provide Year Up with the space and professional environment they have been seeking in order to grow and reflect the culture and layout of traditional office environments, which will help program participants acclimate to their future work environments,” said Bennett Gottlieb, Senior Associate at CBRE.
Year Up will remain at their current location in Midtown, but will occupy the full ninth floor of approximately 20,000 square feet.
