ATLANTA – February 17, 2015 – American Building Supply, the nation’s premier supplier of residential and commercial grade doors and hardware will be expanding its Atlanta manufacturing, and distribution facility by 200,000 sq. ft. David Nixon and Chad Burd of CBRE’s Atlanta office are representing American Building Supply in their expansion and Will Lombard of Majestic Realty represented the Landlord.
Nixon and Burd have represented the manufacturer and wholesale distributer’s expansions previously; ABS first leased 330,000 sq. ft., expanded to 430,000 sq. ft., and now to 635,000 sq. ft. The expansion comes at an opportune time for industrial activity in Atlanta, as the city experienced its best industrial quarter in history at the end of 2014. The overall industrial vacancy in Atlanta dropped to below 10 percent for the first time in nearly 14 years, according to CBRE Atlanta Research.
Large space users such as American Building Supply are in a good position for the coming years, as their business continues to grow. ABS is now in seven states across the U.S.
