The Volunteer Center, which began in 1982, is today’s premier apparatus for connecting local volunteers with community needs in the Lehigh Valley. In 2015 alone, the Volunteer Center linked more than 22,000 volunteers with agencies, businesses, schools and universities all across the Lehigh Valley.
“Jody brings great energy and enthusiasm to our Board. She has made a significant impact on expanding our brand in the business sector and is currently working to further develop our Board”, said Karen Daly Smith, VP of Programs for the Volunteer Center.
This is Jody’s seventh year serving on the Board and her first year as President.
“I enjoy being a part of an organization that matches volunteers and companies in the Lehigh Valley with nonprofit agencies,” said Jody King. “The impact that these volunteers make in the community is truly amazing. I also enjoy making connections by introducing the companies and businesses that I work with to the Volunteer Center. Serving on the Volunteer Center Board is rewarding for many reasons.”
