NEW YORK, NY (November 15, 2016)—CBRE Group, Inc. today announced that it represented owner Edison Properties in a new 50,000-square-foot lease with Cinemex at 400 East 62nd Street in Manhattan.
“We looked carefully for the right tenant to fill this space and are excited about the quality product they plan to deliver to this area,” said Lenny Lazzarino, Vice President of Leasing for building owner Edison Properties.
“Cinemex is the perfect tenant to satisfy the demand for a luxury movie theater serving the discerning Upper East Side customer,” remarked Michael Kadosh, a senior vice president in CBRE’s retail group. “With reserved seating and dining, Cinemex means the days of waiting on a long line to get into a movie are over.”
Mr. Kadosh and associate Jesse Wolff represented Edison in the long-term lease covering six floors.
Jeff Roseman and Mark Frankel of Newmark represented Cinemex, the international cineplex company, in the transaction.
The space is a former movie theater that closed in 2013.
