Philadelphia, PA–April 25, 2016— CBRE Group, Inc. (CBRE) is pleased to announce that it has brokered the lease of a 7,000 square-foot Wawa store located at 1900 Market Street in Center City.
The store, which is Wawa’s largest non-fuel location to date, will include 25 “bar” seats for customers to enjoy, the most of any Wawa location.
CBRE’s Larry Steinberg and Kevin McClernon represented the tenant. Brandywine Realty Trust owns the building where the new Wawa will be located.
“We are very pleased to be able to work with Wawa's new store size and format,” said Larry Steinberg, Senior Vice President of Retail. “The activity that these stores generate should be attractive to any landlord in Center City.”
The new location was selected due to the rapid expansion of condos and apartments in the Market Street West corridor.
Wawa hopes to have the new Center City store opened by the end of the year, with a few more likely on the way.
