Rappels 17 Stories in Support of Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona
Phoenix – June 5, 2015 – Amaris Diaz, a marketing specialist in CBRE’s Tucson office, rappelled down the fourth highest skyscraper in Tucson on Saturday, March 28th.
The event, which was facilitated by the national Over the Edge organization, raised money for the Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona. A total of 76 “Edgers” raised at least $1,000 each through donations and pledges from family, friends and co-workers and then descended 190 feet from the roof of 5151 E. Broadway in Tucson. Amaris raised more than $1,300 alone.
Proceeds from the event will support the Girl Scouts’ programming for more than 14,000 girls across Southern Arizona, including field trips, sports, skill-building clinics, community service projects, social justice programs, cultural exchanges and environmental stewardships.
