Twenty years ago, nearly 3,000 lives were taken by the attacks on New York and Washington, DC as well as the United Flight 93 crash in Shanksville, PA.
For those of us who lived through that horrific day, the events will be forever seared in our minds.
Let's pause to reflect on those whose lives were senselessly cut short on 9-11. We also pay tribute to the many first responders who have perished or suffered serious illness as a result of their heroic actions, and our military service members, who have served our nation with distinction to preserve our freedoms over these past two decades.
