CBRE targets top MBA students at major U.S. business schools through the MBA Diversity Scholars Program.
Lena Pan's passion for student-led research at U.C. Berkeley, Haas School of Business and her initiatives to bring technology innovation to the real estate industry made her a prime candidate for the Dick Blum Berkeley Diversity Scholars Award, an award she won in 2018.
This award is one of four offered through the Diversity MBA Scholars Program at CBRE, designed to advance diverse student's readiness for a career in commercial real estate. They are named in honor of Gary Wilson, Dick Blum, Mickey Kantor and Bradford "Brad" M. Freeman (Duke, U.C. Berkeley, Vanderbilt University and Stanford University), alumnus and former member of CBRE's Board of Directors. Students who receive the awards intern at CBRE for two months to enhance professional presence through exposure to senior executives and other leaders and create connections and accelerating industry knowledge through collaboration with CBRE colleagues.
Lena worked on major, high-stake projects with her primary focus on creating business strategies for new development and investment opportunities throughout Northern California at Trammell Crow Company (TCC). A subsidiary of CBRE, TCC is one of the nation’s oldest and most prolific developers and investors in commercial real estate
"My summer internship at TCC was definitely a fantastic one!" Lena says. "I worked on meaningful projects and developed meaningful relationships. The Diversity Scholars MBA Internship Program not only broadened my market and real estate development knowledge, it also empowered me to become a better leader."
Lena now serves as Senior Associate at Trammell Crow Company’s Northern California Business Unit. She is focused on acquisition and development including underwriting, deal structuring, market feasibility study, due diligence, site planning, and execution.
