Mission Statement

CBRE Cares Chicago leads employees in philanthropic efforts at the local level in a way that both represents and serves the ideals of the CBRE Chicago community. The Chapter’s fundraising efforts include a variety of events such as the annual Charity Bash. The Chapter has donated approximately $1M since its inception in 2008.

Goals and Objectives

Facilitate disbursement of donations through the CBRE Cares Foundation
Any CBRE employee who has personally contributed funds to a local charitable organization 501(c)(3) is eligible to request a donation from the committee.

Develop and implement programs to support the charitable needs of our community
We continue to support local organizations included Cradles to Crayons, William F. Finkl Academy and Bounce Children’s Foundation.

Host fundraising events efforts to support our local philanthropic programs
Opportunities to get involved with philanthropic programs and events will be announced throughout the year. We will also help advertise philanthropies and fundraisers our CBRE employees are passionate about.

J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge

“We Run Chicago!” CBRE Chicago was well represented at the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge, joining more than 28,000 runners for a night of networking and fun. All proceeds benefitted Chicago Cares, who is working to bridge divides and transform the city and its neighborhoods.
5th Annual Finkl Fiesta

5th Annual Finkl Fiesta

Since 2011, CBRE has partnered with Finkl Academy to create a fun-filled afternoon centered around the kids, and this year was no exception. Thanks to donations and volunteers, students were able to enjoy face painting, whiffle ball, relay races, balloon animals, snow cones, popcorn and more! CBRE looks forward to continuing the tradition in 2020!

Cradles to Crayons Chicago Backpack-A-Thon

Nearly 30 CBRE volunteers participated in the 4th annual event. In just three hours, volunteers stuffed 50,000 backpacks with school supplies that will be distributed across the city to ensure Chicagoland children are prepared for the 2019–2020 school year. This is part of Cradles to Crayons’ Ready for School initiative which helps alleviate the effects of poverty on school readiness. The program distributes backpacks filled with new, age-appropriate school supplies from the event along with KidPacks filled with shoes, clothing and more.
