Victor Echeverry joined the American Express account in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in January 2011. As an Operations Manager, Victor is responsible to provide technical support to the South Florida Facilities Management (FM) team and to the Latin American region teams. He also managed OPEX projects and supports the FM teams on day-to-day operations.
Victor serves as the FM on the GBPS-Weston facility and is responsible for the relationship with the local customer.
As Operations Manager for CBRE - AMEX, 2011 – Present, Victor successfully led multiple maintenance projects such as the Maintenance Shutdown at Weston GBPS in 2011 and the one at Ft. Lauderdale AMEX Service Center in 2013. He has also led the energy conservation efforts and was able to position the GBPS building and the Ft. Lauderdale building as the two properties with the highest reduction in energy consumption across the AMEX account in 2012 with 12.4% and 10.2% reductions, respectively. Positive feedback has been received from the local Senior Leadership about his performance.
As Senior CAD Operator for Sturdisteel, 2003 - 2011, Victor actively participated in the design, fabrication and erection of dozens of bleachers and grand stands across the Unites States, including Corsicana, TX, 6700 seats, Little Elm ISD, TX, 9000 seats, Belfry, KY, 3000 seats, Citadel College, Charleston, SC, 13700 seats, Lancaster, TX, 6500 seats. As Head Engineer for Gomez & Associates and E =MC4I, 2000 – 2003, Victor successfully completed the installation and commissioning of two 77 Ksi OMAX Water Jet Machine centers. He was in charge of the machine shop and responsible for the design process, programming and operations of the CNC equipment. As part of the services offered by the company, Victor was also in charge of the cryogenic thermal treatment processes, Government (DOD) and non Government projects and installations when needed. As Design and Development Engineer For Mepal S.A. in Colombia, 1998 – 2000, Victor participated in the redesign of the Office Modular system MULTIPLE®. He also participated in the design and development of the lines PRIVATO and ACTIVO. During the same period he participated in the development of the Self Supported lines in MEPAL.
