Professional Experience

Thomas F. Monahan joined CBRE’s Saddle Brook office in November 2009. He has been in the commercial real estate industry since 1986, representing institutional property owners as well as national and regional companies in their industrial, office and transportation-related requirements.

Since joining CBRE in late 2009, Tom has been a member of the CBRE National Industrial Advisory Council for 2011, 2012 and 2013. The Industrial Advisory Council (IAC) reflects the views of client-facing industrial brokerage professionals in the Americas. The IAC provides business intelligence, strategy and insight into competitive factors within the Industrial Services marketplace, and consists of 15 industrial and capital markets professionals representing the U.S., Mexico and Canada.

Prior to joining CBRE, Tom was Senior Vice President with Colliers Houston & Company, where he received numerous awards recognizing his professional achievements, including: the Colliers International Multi-City assignment for the largest single commission between two of the company’s offices; the Largest Sale Transaction in an individual year(s); the Largest Built-to-Suit Transaction in an individual year; Best Industrial Lease in a single year, recognized by the NJ/PA Real Estate Journal; and consecutive Top Producing Broker of the Year by Colliers Houston & Company and the prestigious Prism Award from The Hampshire Companies.

Tom was also a member of the International Multimodal Services Group comprised of a select group of superior real estate talent located around the US and overseas specializing in key port and transportation gateway locations.  Each member has extensive experience in their particular region with a dedicated emphasis on logistics and the global supply chain industry.

Additionally, Tom is a member, as well as, Past Admissions Chair, Treasurer and Vice President for the NJ Chapter of the Society for Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR), a distinguished organization of leading industrial and office real estate professionals, investment specialists and corporate real estate executives.
Tom received his B.S. from Seton Hall University, and obtained his Certified Commercial Investment Membership (CCIM) from New York University.  He is also the founding Secretary for the NJ Chapter of CCIM.
Tom joins an elite group of real estate specialists worldwide who hold the dual designation of CCIM and SIOR.
