Susan Harte is the Director of Location Incentives for the New York Tri-State Region, working across nine offices and partnering with 400+ sales professionals to integrate her expertise in structuring, negotiating and implementing economic development strategies and location incentives for companies’ new, expanding or relocating operations. Susan’s practice uses this know-how to yield significant financial advantages for our clients.
Prior to joining CBRE, Susan served as the regional director of the Location Incentives Practice at Jones Lang LaSalle. Overseeing economic development strategies from inception to execution, Susan has secured hundreds of millions of dollars in benefits for her clients.
Susan’s location economics experience spans more than a decade, with positions at the boutique incentives law firm of Stadtmauer Bailkin Biggins and as the Director of National Incentives at the accounting firm Grant Thornton. Her experience also extends to the public sector, having served as the Director of Industry Development for Empire State Development, New York’s chief economic development agency and represented the State in large-scale development and retention projects.
Susan’s career commitment is rivaled only by her commitment to community service and charitable involvement. As the founding chairman of City Harvest’s “Square Feet to Square Meals” fundraising campaign, Susan received the 2005 Heart of the City award. Currently she sits on the Board of Trustees of Trailblazers, a 501(c)(3) experiential education organization that has been sending inner-city youth to summer camp for over 125 years.
