Scott Marshall serves as President and Chief Development Officer for the company’s CBRE 360 global capability, which focuses on delivering enhanced employee experiences in the workplace. In this transformational role, Mr. Marshall brings extensive experience and insight into the evolving needs of real estate investors, and provides influential executive leadership in helping create customized workplace solutions by integrated property services and amenities with advanced digital technologies.
Prior to this role, Mr. Marshall served as Americas President, Advisory & Transaction Services | Investor Leasing. In this role, he oversaw the service delivery of more than 800 CBRE professionals on behalf of property owners across all property types in the Americas. Under Mr. Marshall’s leadership, CBRE’s Americas Investor Leasing professionals arranged nearly $40 billion in transactions in 2017.
Previously, Mr. Marshall led CBRE’s Industrial & Logistics Services business in the Americas, encompassing all aspects of CBRE’s supply chain and logistics business in the United States, Canada and Latin America. In this role, he oversaw more than $30 billion in industrial transactions in 2016 and a team of professionals who managed nearly 400 million sq. ft. of U.S. industrial properties. While in this role, he also directed CBRE’s Global Supply Chain Practice.
Before that, he was Senior Managing Director of CBRE’s Chicago area, overseeing the industrial and suburban office agency groups, with additional responsibility for the Oak Brook office.
Throughout his career at CBRE, Mr. Marshall has provided executive leadership to many of the company’s internal boards and committees. He served as Chairman of both the Americas Producer Advisory Board and the Americas Office Investor Leasing Advisory Board; as a member of the Americas Strategy Group and Global Logistics board; and led CBRE’s Industrial Advisory Council. He has also served as part of the Global High Performing Leaders program.
Prior to joining CBRE in 2011, Mr. Marshall was an Executive Managing Director with Colliers International, managing the firm’s strategy and development of its suburban office and industrial groups. Before Colliers he held executive and brokerage positions with Duke Realty Corp., first as a Senior Leasing Representative with the firm’s Chicago office leasing and development team and later as Vice President of the Chicago industrial group.
