Sarah Pontius is a Senior Vice President with CBRE, Inc. in New York City, where she provides corporate clients with strategic real estate advisory services. Sarah brings more than 12 years of experience to her clients, having completed a wide range of complex transactions across many disciplines including leasing, development, acquisitions and dispositions. Sarah also worked internationally on mergers & acquisitions in cities including New York, London and Sydney.
Since joining CBRE in 2014, Sarah has been involved in the lease-up of two of Midtown Manhattan’s largest redevelopment projects: 425 Park Avenue and 1271 Avenue of the Americas, on behalf of L&L Holding Company and The Rockefeller Group, respectively. She is also overseeing the lease-up of 1114 Avenue of the Americas on behalf of Brookfield Office Properties and has worked alongside CBRE’s investment sales team in the marketing of 551 Madison Avenue and 245 Park Avenue.
Prior to joining CBRE, Sarah worked on Brookfield Office Properties’ in-house leasing team responsible for the management of its 18.0 million square foot New York City office portfolio, focusing on its 6.0 million square foot Midtown portfolio and 7.0 million square foot West Side development project. Sarah also worked on behalf of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce on its subleasing at 300 Madison Avenue and oversaw the leasing and tenant relationships at 450 West 33rd Street, a 1.7 million square foot redevelopment in the Hudson Yards District.
Additionally, Sarah represented Brookfield Office Properties on the $9 billion acquisition of Trizec Properties in the U.S. in 2006 and Brookfield Asset Management on the $3 billion acquisition of Multiplex Group in Australia in 2008. From 2006 – 2008 Sarah worked in London on the leasing and asset management of 20 Canada Square, acquisition and site assembly of 100 Bishopsgate and disposition of Brookfield’s non-core European assets.
An avid runner, Sarah has completed nine marathons in New York, Chicago and London. She serves on the Board of Directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Metro New York where she is also a Wish Granter. She is actively involved with Achilles International as a guide for disabled runners in New York City and the Inner City Scholarship Fund of New York as a scholarship sponsor.
