Sarah Lake serves as the Director of Marketing for Occupier Advisory and Transaction Services at CBRE. As a leader for the Business Development side, Ms. Lake provides strategic direction and guidance for all external client marketing activities for the firm’s Occupier brokers. In this position, she oversees the national marketing team consisting of nine highly creative members located across the country. She works side-by-side with executive leadership and high profile brokers to support pursuits worth millions in annual revenue. She is also responsible for the expansion of our brand, which includes innovative concepts and design of top quality marketing materials. This involves unique storytelling, proposal and pitch writing, and cultivating exceptional client-focused marketing solutions utilizing state-of-the-art technology mediums.
With more than 10 years of marketing experience, her cross-functional expertise ranges from all elements of design, implementation and management of creative processes to innovative campaigns, dynamic email marketing, print advertising, media relations and corporate brand overhauls. The skills attributing to her successes include strong project management abilities, innovative thinking and a team-player attitude.
Prior to joining CBRE, Ms. Lake was the Regional Marketing Manager for Jones Lang LaSalle’s Capital Markets, where she led all marketing efforts across business lines such as Investment Sales, Multifamily, Industrial and Real Estate Investment Banking. She managed the production and design of pitches, created effective team tools, as well as local service line collateral to support the growing business platform for the Southwest region.
The foundation of Ms. Lake’s career began at IBM as part of the Market Intelligence team, providing all levels of graphic support to visual executive presentations, graphical company reports, newsletters and web projects. Notable responsibilities include working at Oakwood Worldwide as a Creative Services Specialist, where she administered and managed an online sales enablement platform that provided the 300-person sales team with custom designed marketing materials. She also was a vital part of the Marketing & Client Relations team at Oaktree Capital Management, producing close to 250 custom marketing and pitch materials for Fortune 100 companies in various countries and jurisdictions on an annual basis.
