Samantha Martz is an Associate in the Global Workplace Strategy Group. She has experience advising corporate occupiers through real estate and portfolio strategy, occupancy optimization and workplace transformation.
Samantha has worked with clients in a range of industries as they look to better align their real estate with their business objectives. To understand workplace demand, she has worked extensively on the development of utilization studies, focus groups, executive interviews, ethnographic observations, and employee surveys. On the supply side, Samantha has built several space programming tools to help clients understand the full value of their real estate holdings, and how to maximize their workplace to the benefit of their business objectives, employees and overall portfolio. Whether it’s through occupancy optimization, consolidation, implementation of alternative workplace strategies, or innovative space planning, the result is always a positive impact on the bottom line through efficient use of space. Clients have included Union Bank, Time Warner, Cisco, AT&T , Chevron1, NVIDIA1, Royal Bank of Canada1, and Ericsson1.
Prior to joining CBRE, Samantha worked in the Design Strategy group at Gensler. Aimed at helping corporate clients evaluate their space on a regional scale, the group specialized in aligning clients’ real estate strategy and portfolio with its high-level business goals. In her time at Gensler, Samantha helped major financial firms in Canada and the United States make smart decisions about their real estate by better understanding how their space can support their people and enhance productivity.
Previously, Samantha served as a consultant for real estate consulting firm, The Concord Group. She developed an expertise formulating in-depth market and financial feasibility studies for developers and investors on large-scale residential and mixed-use developments in the Bay Area and around the country.
