Ronald Patzer facilitates and coordinates the integrated and comprehensive performance on assignments undertaken for CBRE's top institutional clients. He oversees the national delivery of services, including strategy formation, property transitions, team performance, operations, leasing and financial reporting on more than 80 million square feet of real estate assets worth in excess of $12 billion.
Prior to joining the Strategic Accounts Group in 1998, Mr. Patzer was a Senior Controller in the National Accounting Group, focusing on leading all aspects of financial and reporting for CBRE’s top institutional clients. He began his career with CBRE in 1992 as a Real Estate Manager overseeing a portfolio of institutional assets. Mr. Patzer has helped clients achieve top results, including:
Fortress - Mr. Patzer's efforts on a 3.4 million-square-foot multi-market portfolio resulted in 5% over-market occupancy and held expenses $1 million below pro-forma. He also played a key roll in portfolio disposition, netting Fortress a 20% return on investment.
CalEast/LaSalle Investment Management - Assisted CalEast in rolling out the "Key Performance Indicator" incentive program to the CBRE field personal, resulting in CalEast exceeding the NAICREF benchmark by 270 basis points over an eight-year average. Implemented an enhanced occupancy program resulting in above pro-forma retention rate throughout the eight-year fund life.
TIAA-CREF - Under Mr. Patzer's direction, the portfolio of TIAA-CREF properties managed/leased by CBRE has grown from 3.5 million square feet to 20.6 million square feet. His intense review of challenged assets has raised the CBRE/TIAA portfolio occupancy to 91%.
