Rachel Tang is a Senior Valuation Associate with CBRE’s Valuation & Advisory and a member of the national seniors housing & healthcare specialty practice. She earned Master Degree from the Hotel School of Cornell University, where she majored in Hospitality Administration, with a concentration in real estate finance.
Rachel is passionate about hospitality real estate industry and senior living sector. During her time at Cornell, she took advantage of the resources at Cornell Institute for Healthy Futures (CIHF), which is the world’s first academic center to combine hospitality, design, health policy and management. By taking classes at CIHF, she learnt that integrating the hotel-like service into senior living communities will create a relationship with residents and improve their living experience. She would like to utilize her experience of hospitality industry to contribute to the CBRE senior housing team.
Prior to joining CBRE, Rachel had an internship at HVS, which is a consulting firm that specializes in providing services to the hospitality industry. She assisted the data scientist in conducting the 2016-2017 Franchise Disclosure Document and the Hotel Development Cost Survey. Before she went to Cornell University, she worked at Wyndham Hotel Group as management trainee.
Rachel is originally from China. She can speak Mandarin and English.
