Phil Hauspurg is a member of the Retail Investment Property Group in West LA where he specializes in the acquisition, disposition and leasing of high street retail and grocery-anchored shopping centers in the Greater Los Angeles area. Before joining CBRE, Phil worked with Sperry Commercial where he focused on research analytics and business development. In this role, he facilitated deal execution, conducted site tours with prospective clients and cultivated strategic relationships. He is estimated to have evaluated over $500 Million worth of multi-family, retail and development property.
Phil has a unique entrepreneurial and entertainment-focused background that he adeptly applies to his real estate work and client relationships, as well as his personal commercial real estate investments.
Prior to entering the CRE sector, Phil began his entrepreneurial career as co-founder of the hit social-networking app 'Pheed' alongside Israeli businessman O.D. Kobo in November, 2011. Leading the nascent app's growth, Phil opened 'The Pheed House' on Mulholland Drive, a content creation hub for artists and tastemakers. With the help of influencers like Snoop Dogg, Wiz Khalifa, and Miley Cyrus, Pheed became the #1 downloaded app in both the Google Play and Apple App Stores. Pheed was eventually acquired for ~$40mm U.S., by Mobli Media Inc. (after just 18 months of operation).
Following Pheed's acquisition, Phil was appointed Head of U.S. Operations at Mobli, where he elaborated on the Pheed House model and opened 'The Beach House' on the Venice Boardwalk--a content creation hub for a wide array of creative digital media, music production, and live events. Phil also co-founded and led initial growth efforts for the viral app 'Yo!', which also reached the #1 most downloaded spot in both App Stores, and was featured on 'The Colbert Report' and HBO's Silicon Valley.
Phil is a Duke University graduate and an award-winning film producer and actor (Phil Haus).
